Pressure Washing in Harwich and Dovercourt
Harwich paving has a hard time of it. Salt-laden wind off the harbour and the North Sea, gulls overhead and older, uneven surfaces in the historic streets all leave their mark. DB Professional Services pressure washes driveways, patios, paths and yards across Old Harwich, Dovercourt, Parkeston and Upper Dovercourt.
Each job is quoted individually. Use the builder below or call 01255 762761.

Salt, gulls and sea air
On the Dovercourt seafront and around the old town, salt spray dries onto paving and leaves a dull grey film. Gull droppings are a regular nuisance on patios and drives, and they stain if they’re left. Sheltered back yards in the terraced streets stay damp and grow moss and algae instead. The result is the same either way: paving that looks older than it is.
Old Harwich adds another layer. Some of its yards and passages are laid with older brick, stone or uneven concrete, worn by decades of use, and they need a careful approach so loose pieces aren’t dislodged. Small courtyard gardens between the historic houses get little direct sunlight and can be green for most of the year. We adjust how we work for each surface and point out anything fragile before we start.
Driveways on the newer estates
Inland, towards Ramsey and Parkeston, many homes have block-paved drives in front of a garage. Those drives collect tyre marks, oil spots and moss in the joints, especially where the car shades the same strip day after day. We work across the full drive so it dries evenly, and pay attention to the joints and edges where growth takes hold.

Sand, seaweed and storm debris
After a winter storm, homes close to the Dovercourt seafront can find their yards and paths covered in sand, grit and debris blown in off the beach. If it’s left, it washes into the joints and drains and helps moss and weeds take hold.
A spring clean clears all of that away and resets the paving for summer. For seafront properties, an occasional sweep through the winter helps keep the joints clearer between cleans. Back yards in the terraced streets, on the other hand, don’t get the storms but do stay damp, so moss and algae are the main problem there.
Either way, it’s worth checking the drains and gullies on your paving after a storm. When they block, water sits on the surface and the slabs go green much faster.
Quotes, not price lists
Because Harwich paving ranges from tiny yards to double drives, every job is priced individually on its area, surface, condition and access. Send photos and rough sizes, or ask us to have a look next time we’re in town. We accept card and direct debit.

Pressure washing questions from Harwich
Can you remove gull mess from a patio?
Yes. Droppings are softened and washed away as part of the clean. Older stains may fade rather than disappear completely, and we’ll be honest about that.
Do you cover Parkeston and Ramsey?
Yes, along with Old Harwich, Dovercourt, Upper Dovercourt and Little Oakley. Call 01255 762761.
How much does it cost to pressure wash a drive in Harwich?
Every drive is quoted individually, based on size, surface and condition. Photos and rough measurements usually give us enough to price it.
Can you clean a yard in Old Harwich with no vehicle access?
Usually. Parking in the old town is tight, so we’ll check access with you first.
Can you clean a seafront patio that keeps getting covered in sand?
Yes. We’ll wash the sand out of the joints and the surface. Regular sweeping through the year helps keep it clear for longer.
