What is the difference between a gutter clear and a roofline wash?
A gutter clear deals with the inside: leaves, moss and silt are vacuumed out so rainwater reaches the downpipes.
A roofline wash cleans the outside:
- Every fascia board washed until the white uPVC shows through again
- The soffits under the eaves cleaned of algae and cobwebs
- The fronts and undersides of the gutters wiped of the grey streaking that runs down from the joints
- A fixed cost agreed in the quote, so there are no surprises on the day
How do you clean gutters without climbing on the roof?
Gutters are emptied with a high-reach gutter vacuum worked from the ground, and the roofline is washed with water-fed poles. Ladders or an access tower are used only where a pole cannot reach, such as over a conservatory or a tight side passage.

Is a gutter clear included in a roofline wash?
No. The roofline wash cleans the outside of the fascias, soffits and gutters. Emptying the inside of the gutters is a separate gutter clear at the same price, and booking the two together takes 10% off both.
How much do I save by booking both?
